Balancing Professionals’ Maryanne Perrin Awarded by NAWBO

Cary, NC (July 9, 2007) – Maryanne Perrin, founder of Balancing Professionals, a Triangle-based niche placement and advisory firm, was awarded the Rising Star Award by the Greater Raleigh chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners at the annual installation and awards dinner held on June 27th at Brier Creek Country Club.

The Rising Star Award recognizes a new NAWBO member who has made a significant contribution to the local chapter. Perrin served as the 2006-2007 Communications Chair, driving all communication with NAWBO members, prospects, corporate sponsors, and the local media. In addition, she captained Team NAWBO’s Race for the Cure team which raised over $1,000 to support the fight against breast cancer.

“More and more talented women are starting their own businesses, in part to carve out the flexibility and autonomy that they can’t find in corporate America. NAWBO experienced a significant increase in membership this year and it was an honor to serve on the Board of an organization that nurtures the growth of these businesses,” said Perrin.
